You might have missed it over the weekend but the longest-running celebrity relationship story of the summer was confirmed as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are officially an item... again.
No, you haven’t woken up in 2002...
The two a-listers have been rumoured to be getting back together for months now and Lopez confirmed that she and Affleck have rekindled their love – almost 20 years since their first relationship ended – with a picture of the couple kissing which she shared on Instagram on her 52nd birthday.
In 2021, major celebrity news like this is often followed by jokes and memes, especially when Affleck is involved, as the Batman actor just can’t avoid becoming a meme, no matter what he does. Trust us, even Gwyneth Paltrow (who used to date the actor) makes memes about this guy.
When he’s snapped in pictures, the 48-year-old actor often has the look of a man who is having a deep existential crisis – even when he is simply resting his hand on his lover’s backside, as he’s doing in some of the recent pictures with Lopez (see, even writing about Affleck’s activities sounds ridiculous). So, inevitably, the new photos of the couple have become perfect meme fodder.
