Beluga plane circles in high winds before it's forced to abort landing

A Beluga 3 plane had to be diverted to John Lennon Airport this morning after it made several aborted landing attempts in high winds.

The aircraft, was spotted circling over Chester where it made multiple attempts to land at Hawarden Airport, in North Wales.

The Airbus plane circled a number of times before aborting its landing due to high winds and instead heading to Liverpool John Lennon Airport, reported Cheshire Live.

A second Beluga, which took off from Madrid earlier and was believed to be heading to Hawarden, did a U-turn a short while after and looks to be heading towards Toulouse.

It is the second time this month a Beluga has had to divert to the Liverpool airport due to adverse weather conditions.

Despite the high winds an Airbus A300 has been able to take off safely from Hawarden Airport.
