Beloved Dublin city cafe Accents Coffee and Tea Lounge heartbreakingly announces closure

Another beloved independent Dublin cafe has had to shut it's doors today as the city continues to count the cost of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Accents Coffee and Tea Lounge on Stephen Street Lower had become a vibrant, buzzing hub for many in the city.

Frequently described as "one of the best kept secrets in Dublin", Accents built its reputation on its events, its late hours, its friendly faces, and their stunning hot chocolate.

But unfortunately their journey has come to an end as, after some locals had spotted the furniture being pulled up inside, they posted this statement this morning.

"We are sad to say that Accents has closed," they announced in the statement this morning on their official Facebook page.

"Many thanks to all of our lovely customers over the years.

"We have made some lovely friends, had loads of laughs and great chats along the way! - Donal & Deirdre."
