Bellshill driver, 35, caught with a knife jailed for 163 days

A Bellshill driver caught with a knife was jailed for 163 days at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week.

Christopher Harper, of Liberty Road, admitted failing to provide a urine sample at University Hospital Wishaw after he was suspected of drink-driving last September.

The 35-year-old also admitted kicking two police officers, having a knife, offending while on bail and breaching a curfew.

Harper was banned from driving for 20 months.
