Belleek crash: Woman dies after two vehicle collision

A woman has died after a crash in Co Fermanagh over the weekend.

Emergency services were called to the Boa Island Road in Belleek following a collision between two vehicles on Saturday, November 6.

On Sunday morning, police confirmed a woman had died in the incident. The road remains closed at this time.

A PSNI spokesman said: "The Boa Island Road in Belleek remains closed in both directions following a fatal road traffic collision on Saturday 6th November.

"A woman died as a result of the two vehicle collision which occurred shortly before 4pm on Saturday and officers remain at the scene this morning conducting enquiries.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dash-cam footage captured in the area at the time of the collision is asked to contact officers at the Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting reference number 1070 06/11/21."

It comes after police confirmed on Sunday morning that a male pedestrian was in a critical condition in hospital following a collision on the Dublin Road in Newry on Saturday evening.
