Belle McNally: Young England fan left in tears as England’s Mason Mount sends her a special message

A young fan who was given Mason Mount’s football shirt after England’s big win against Denmark was left in tears again after she received a special message from the footballer.

Belle McNally, 10, went viral earlier this week when she melted hearts after bursting into tears after she was given a shirt by Mount following England’s 2-1 victory on Wednesday.

In the footage, which has been watched 2.2 million times, she can be seen getting overwhelmed with emotion after the footballer left the pitch to hand her his shirt.

On Friday’s This Morning, where she and her father spoke to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about the unforgettable moment, she was surprised again.

The group had been discussing the moment she was handed the shirt and how she felt “so many different emotions” before Schofield revealed Mount had a special message for her.

The camera then cut to 22-year-old Mount and his pre-recorded video, where he thanked Belle for her support.

He said: “Hi Belle, it’s Mason here, and I just wanted to do this message to you and say how special your reaction was after the game when I gave you my shirt.

“Obviously we won the game and that was a big achievement but that really topped it off for me, and made it an even [more] special night for me.

“Thank you for all your support, it really means a lot and hopefully see you Sunday,” Mount added.

As the camera cut back to Belle, she was seen crying again before hugging her dad who joked: “Don’t cry again.”
