Bellator signs teenage prospect Lucas Brennan to multi-fight deal

The son of UFC and PRIDE veteran Chris Brennan has inked an exclusive deal with Bellator MMA.

Bellator MMA officials today told MMA Junkie that 19-year-old Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Lucas Brennan (1-0 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) has signed a multi-fight contract with the promotion.

Brennan made his professional debut with the promotion on a single-fight contract at July’s Bellator 224, picking up a first-round submission win. The Texas native is currently expected to return to action at Bellator 233, which takes place Nov. 8 in Thackerville, Okla.

Prior to turning pro, Brennan fought as an amateur under the highly respected Tuff-N-Uff banner, as well as the LFA.

Brennan’s father, Chris Brennan (21-13-1), was active from 1996 until 2012. A grappling specialist, Chris earned 19 of his 21 career wins by submission. Along the way, Chris Brennan fought three times for the UFC and another three times for PRIDE and facing notables such as John Alessio, Thomas Denny, Takanori Gomi, Tatsuya Kawajiri, Antonio McKee, Pat Miletich, Vitor Ribeiro, Shannon Ritch and Joe Stevenson along the way.
