NEW YORK – Bellator hosted a news conference Monday to promote the biggest bouts on its upcoming schedule, and at the end of it the fighters got face to face.
Fourteen athletes from future championship, main event and featherweight grand prix tournament bouts were in attendance, including the headliners from Friday’s Bellator 241 event, Patricio Freire and Pedro Carvalho.
In addition, a number of others got a chance to go toe-to-toe, including: Emmanuel Sanchez vs. Daniel Weichel (Bellator 241 on March 13), Ryan Bader vs. Vadim Nemkov (Bellator 242 on May 9), Gegard Mousasi vs. Douglas Lima (Bellator 242), James Gallagher vs. Cal Ellenor (Bellator Europe 8 on May 16), Michael Chandler vs. Benson Henderson (Bellator 244 on June 6), A.J. McKee vs. Darrion Caldwell (Bellator 244) and Peter Queally vs. Patricky Freire (Bellator Dublin on Oct. 3).
