James Gallagher made quick work of Cal Ellenor in their long-anticipated clash at Bellator Milan.
Ellenor was beaten by a rear naked choke from The Strabanimal in the first round on a positive night for Irish fighters.
Gallagher revealed afterwards that he had been suffering from severe bouts of sickness in the lead up to the fight.
"I was in bed screaming, I couldn't breathe but I told my team do not dare call anyone in here for me." said Gallagher.
"I rehydrated and the cramps went away. I didn't sleep all that night, I had loads more weight to cut because I had to drink and eat but I kept the bulletproof mindset and went out and did what I did."
Kiefer Crosbie fell to defeat against Charlie Leary but SBG's Sinead Kavanagh and Charlie Ward were both successful in Milan.
