Bellator London reactions: Winning and losing fighters on social media

Since the early days when the sport was anything but a mainstream endeavor, the MMA industry has thrived and survived through various websites, forums and, perhaps most importantly, social-media platforms.

Fighters interact with fans, each other and many more through the likes of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, which helps outsiders get a deeper look into the minds of the athletes.

Following Saturday’s Bellator 223 and Bellator Europe 3 events in London several of the winning and losing fighters, along with their coaches, training partners or family members, took to social media to react to the event or share a message with supporters.

Check out some of those reactions.

FIGHTING FAMILY ❤️🏆 • I am so fortunate to be surrounded by the most amazing people who fill my heart with so much inspiration, gratitude, strength, confidence, & love. • My parents who sacrificed everything for me to live my dreams. My gorgeous & incredible love @deeana6 who supports me & lifts me up every time I need it. My Black Belt & brother Paul @slackjitsu who has been to every fight & every ADCC I have every competed in. And my bad ass coaches who are all incredible teachers & technicians in their respective crafts & together make up this dream team family that I am so proud to represent. • Muay Thai/MMA @evolucaothai, Jiu-Jitsu @xanderibeirojj, Wrestling @matrixgrappling, Performance & Nutrition @greenstrengthiv, Free Form Movement & Mobility @cameronshayne, & my number one training partner & warrior brother from Curitiba @chris_frohlich. • What we have is so special! Everyone is humble & respects each other. Everyone learns from each other. And the culmination of spirits & energy brings nothing but lots of laughs & love. • Of course, I can’t mention my Fighting Family without talking about my students at my home @lovatobjjmma. Unfortunately the event was so far they couldn’t come to support me in person but they did get together to watch & support me through the screen thanks to the help of my brother @thebigpygmy & @fightfortheforgotten. I could feel their energy & love with me inside the cage & can’t thank them enough for the support they give to me to follow my dreams & represent them in the highest levels of combat. Watching the video (swipe left) of them celebrating brought me to some heavy tears 😭 I can’t wait to bring that belt home to you all!!!

Dream Achieved ~ Destiny Fulfilled • It all starts in your mind, but it must resonate in your heart. Over the last two months of my camp, I cried many times when I thought of how it would feel to get that belt tied around my waist. That incredible feeling of glory & satisfaction of achieving something I wanted with all my heart & have worked my whole life for, is what pushed me during the hardest moments of my camp & is also what lifted me to win that final round. Because I not only saw this moment, but I actually FELT this moment so many times already, I believed that I not only had the power to make it come true, but that it was my destiny to make it come true. • Now I can finally throw away that picture I’ve had in my training bag the last 2.5 years 😁 • #MondayMotivation #Dream #Believe #Heart #NeverStop #AnythingIsPossible #TeamLovato #Underdog #MissionAccomplished #DreamAchieved #AndNew #BellatorMMA #WorldChampion
