DUBLIN – “The Jimmy Show” was more of a commercial than full feature, with James Gallagher (10-1 MMA, 7-1 BMMA) tapping out Roman Salazar (13-10 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) in less than a minute.
The catchweight bout was the Bellator Europe 4 main event at 3Arena in Dublin. The card streamed on the Bellator app.
Salazar shot in early at the start, but Gallagher was able to grab the guillotine as his opponent move forward and fall immediately to his back. Gallagher didn’t rush the finish, patiently keeping the squeeze in place. Salazar appeared calm, as well, but it quickly became apparent he was stuck in the hold, and he meekly tapped out just 35 seconds into the contest.
Gallagher immediately jumped out of the cage to go celebrate with SBG Ireland teammate Conor McGregor before returning to the cage and scaling the fence to celebrate in front of a singing Irish mass.
