Bellator confirm November return to Dublin as two huge fights announced

Bellator will make its return to Dublin on November 5 with two huge bouts announced.

James Gallagher (11-1) will take on Patch Mix (14-1) in a huge bantamweight main event of the Bellator 270 card.

And fan favourite Peter Queally (13-5-1) takes on rival Patricky 'Pitbull' Freire (23-10) in a grudge rematch after Queally's win earlier this year.

The promotion has held several blockbuster shows in the capital in recent years, and currently boasts a host of Irish MMA's top stars within their ranks.

Their last visit to the capital saw Leah McCourt and Charlie Ward top a card that included US star Brent Primus in February 2020.

The Covid-19 pandemic interrupted plans to return to the 3 Arena in October 2020, with Queally and 'Pitbull' Freire the planned main event.

Tickets go on general sale on this Friday, Aug. 27, with an exclusive presale on Thursday, Aug. 26, and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.ie and Bellator.com.

Meanwhile, Irish fans can watch it live on both Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Sport, while those in the UK can watch the event live on BBC iPlayer.

“I’m so grateful to be back as the headline in Dublin,” said Gallagher, “I’ve moved to America to take my mindset and skill set to another level and I’m happy I can show my work to my home fans! Welcome to the Jimmy Show!".

Queally added: "I can’t wait to get back out there again to settle this once and for all with Pitbull and really give the 3Arena crowd something special,” Queally said. “Patricky is such a perfect opponent, there has been so much that has gone on with me and him that I think the crowd will be even more invested than normal this time. Expect an all-out war – I’m going to beat him, and the lightweight belt is next.”
