UNCASVILLE, Conn. – The weigh-ins are in the books for the second of Bellator’s back-to-back events in Connecticut.
The second half of the cards on consecutive nights, Bellator 232, takes place Saturday at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville. The main card streams on DAZN following prelims on MMA Junkie.
Friday, the fighters made weight in the morning, with the exception of Robin Van Roosmalen and Isaiah Chapman, who missed. Then, the fighters squared off for the fans at the early afternoon ceremonial weigh-ins.
In the main event, Bellator welterweight champion Rory MacDonald (21-5-1 MMA, 3-1-1 BMMA) defends his title against former champ Douglas Lima (31-7 MMA, 13-3 BMMA) in a rematch from a fight MacDonald won by unanimous decision in January 2018. The fight marks the end of the Bellator welterweight grand prix. The winner will walk away with title gold and $1 million in earnings.
In the co-main event, Paul Daley (41-17-2 MMA, 7-4 BMMA) returns to take on longtime veteran Saad Awad (23-12 MMA, 11-9 BMMA) in a catchweight affair.
