SAN JOSE, Calif. — In preparation for his return to featherweight, Derek Campos has switched things up. The 31-year-old fighter added more strength training into his regimen to prepare for the upcoming Bellator grand prix.
Campos returns to action in the co-main event of Bellator 226, where he’ll look to rebound from three straight losses to Patricky Freire, Sam Sicilia and Pedro Carvalho. “The Stallion” Campos (19-9 MMA, 8-7 BMMA) meets Daniel Straus (26-8 MMA, 12-5 BMMA) in the opening round of the tournament.
Bellator 226 takes place Saturday at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. The main card streams on DAZN following prelims on MMA Junkie.
