STAMFORD, Conn. – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Friday’s early and official Bellator 225 fighter weigh-ins, where all fighters on Saturday’s card hit their marks.
In the main event, Matt Mitrione (13-6 MMA, 4-1 BMMA) takes on Sergei Kharitonov (29-7 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) in a heavyweight rematch following their 15-second no contest in February.
Mitrione weighed in at 258 pounds, seconds after finishing a piece of fried chicken while waiting to get on the scale. Kharitonov was 264 to make the rematch official.
The early weigh-ins took place at the Sheraton Stamford Hotel in Stamford, Conn., and preceded the ceremonial weigh-ins for the fans, which take place at noon ET at the same venue.
Bellator 225 takes place Saturday at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Conn. The main card airs on Paramount and streams on DAZN following prelims on MMA Junkie.
