STAMFORD, Conn. — There are few more enduring, crowd pleasing heavyweights than Sergei Kharitonov.
The heavy-hitting Russian is 39, but he’s still relevant in the game. If you doubt that, look no further than the fact he’ll headline Bellator 225 on Saturday night against Matt Mitrione.
Mitrione (13-6 MMA, 4-1 BMMA) vs. Kharitonov (29-7 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) is a rematch of a Bellator 215 bout that ended as a no contest in just 15 seconds.
Bellator 225 takes place Saturday at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Conn. The main card airs on Paramount and streams on DAZN following prelims on MMA Junkie.
