Bella Donna: Coven Road by Ruth Symes - review

This book is about a girl called Bella Donna who’s always wanted to be a witch. She got left at the door step of a children’s home with a witch mobile and nothing else as a baby. Her best friend there is Sam, a boy who also lived there since he was a baby.

They were looking for the right foster parents and one day Bella looked out of the window and saw somebody coming to the foster home, someone she knew would be perfect for her.

When Bella Donna has a try-out at this lady’s home (her name is Lilith), magical things start to happen.

I think Bella Donna is the most magical book I have ever read and I am so glad I bought it. Bella has lots of adventures and the book takes me into a different world. It is never boring and the characters are very likeable… well, most of them anyway…

I would definitely recommend this book to girls aged 6 to 12 who enjoy books about magic, adventure and witches. I can’t wait to read the rest of the Bella Donna series and find out what other enchanting things are happening to her.
