A man has been arrested after a report of 'suspicious activity' in the Merchant City this afternoon.
Police were called to Bell Street in Glasgow city centre at around 3pm.
Officers attended and the force has confirmed a man has since been arrested.
Investigations into the incident are continuing and the Daily Record reports forensic police officers have been seen in the area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Record: "We received a report of suspicious activity in Bell Street around 3pm, officers attended and a man has been arrested.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
Glasgow Live have contacted Police Scotland for comment.
UPDATE: A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: "A man was arrested after being found with drugs in possession".
