BELIEVE in Scotland has launched a number of internship opportunities for its Scottish independence campaign.
The grassroots pro-independence organisation has announced plans to recruit up to six people with the aim of drawing in more young people through social media and take its campaign "to the next level".
Organisers also hope the internships will help to support the grassroots independence movement with local campaign initiatives.
The internships, which pay the Real Living Wage of £13.45, will be offered on a part-time basis at between 25 and 35 hours per month.
A total of 33% of the funding for the roles comes from a grant from the Scottish Independence Foundation.
There are a number of different roles on offer:
- Campaign coordinator intern, who will support the rebuilding of local pro-independence groups across Scotland
- Digital engagement officer intern, who will help to signpost and support online activists
- Short form and video content creator intern, who will help to grow the movement across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts
- Member engagement intern, who will improve how supporters engage with the campaign to make sure they stay involved
A Believe in Scotland spokesperson said: "Since our launch in 2019, we have grown to now deliver or help coordinate almost all of the non-party-political campaigning for independence, through our network of 143 local and national affiliated Yes Groups.
"We organise marches and rallies attended by leading politicians, activists and even major celebrities. We distribute hundreds of thousands of leaflets, organise impactful petitions and social media campaigns through our large and fast-growing social media reach."
They added: "Our campaign activity is accelerating and we specifically want to reach younger people, through various social and events.
"It is our belief that this will help grow local independence groups and restart or strengthen stalled activity across Scotland."
Candidates can be based anywhere in Scotland.
To apply, applicants are asked to send a CV and a cover letter to info@believeinscotland.org.
Applications close on Thursday, July 9.
