Belgravia home of Prince Stanislaw Radziwill, former husband of Lee Radziwill, for sale for £13.25 million

The London home of one of the 20th century’s most glamorous European aristocrats has come up for sale in Belgravia.

Prince Stanislaw Radziwill lived in the Georgian house with his second wife, Grace Kolin in the late Forties, before his more famous third marriage to Jackie Kennedy Onassis’s sister, the New York socialite Lee Bouvier, in 1959.

Born in 1914, Stanislaw said he was descended from Polish-Lithuanian kings, although he became a British citizen after World War II. He settled in London and had some success with property in the capital.

His six-bedroom former home on Chester Street is now on the market for £13.25 million through Strutt & Parker and Alexander Millett following a full refurbishment.

It now boasts a lower ground floor bar, cinema and wine cellar and there’s a lift to the second floor, which is entirely taken up by a master suite.

The home Stanislaw later shared with Lee in nearby Buckingham Place had legendary interiors, designed by Renzo Mongiardino and featuring a leather-lined dining room and a bohemian Ottoman/Indian-inspired drawing room filled with patterned soft furnishings.

Cecil Beaton photographed Lee Radziwill in the house for Vogue and it became one of the most famous interiors in London.
