Belgium vs England: Uefa Nations League prediction, team news, TV channel, live stream, h2h - preview

England head to Belgium today needing a result to keep their hopes of reaching the Uefa Nations League finals on track.

The Three Lions beat Belgium 2-1 at Wembley last month to go top of Group 2, but a disappointing home defeat to Denmark leaves Gareth Southgate’s side third in the table.

England saw off the Republic of Ireland in a comfortable 3-0 friendly victory at Wembley on Thursday to set themselves up for a return to competitive action, and Southgate will want to see some big performances with players running out of chances to impress before the European Championships next summer.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Belgium vs England is scheduled for a 7:45pm GMT kick-off on Sunday, November 15, 2020.

The match will be held at the King Power Stadion At Den Dreef in Leuven, Belgium.

How to watch Belgium vs England

TV channel: The match will be televised on Sky Sports’ Premier League and Main Event channels, with coverage starting at 7pm.

Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers will be able to watch the match online via the SkyGO app.

England lineup, team news and squad

Starting XI (3-4-3): Pickford; Walker, Dier, Mings; Trippier, Rice, Henderson, Chilwell; Mount, Grealish, Kane

Subs: Pope, Henderson, Keane, Maitland-Niles, Winks, Bellingham, Saka, Foden, Sancho, Abraham, Calvert-Lewin

Reece James has returned to Chelsea given he is suspended for the next two games, while Marcus Rashford is unavailable due to a shoulder injury.

Conor Coady is also out after finding out he came into contact with somebody prior to the England camp who tested positive for Covid-19 via an NHS Test and Trace alert. Harry Maguire is also suspended, leaving Southgate short of options in defence. Raheem Sterling is also injured, and misses out.

Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson (Man United), Jordan Pickford (Everton), Nick Pope (Burnley)

Defenders: Michael Keane (Everton), Ainsley Maitland-Niles (Arsenal), Tyrone Mings (Aston Villa), Declan Rice (West Ham), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Kieran Trippier (Atletico Madrid), Kyle Walker (Man City), Ben Chilwell (Chelsea), Eric Dier (Tottenham), Joe Gomez (Liverpool)

Midfielders: Mason Mount (Chelsea), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), James Ward-Prowse (Southampton), Harry Winks (Tottenham), Phil Foden (Man City)

Forwards: Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton), Jack Grealish (Aston Villa), Tammy Abraham (Chelsea), Harry Kane (Tottenham), Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund), Raheem Sterling (Man City)

Prediction: Belgium 1-1 England

Southgate’s side have to go for broke after their home defeat to Denmark, though Belgium are No.1 in the world for a reason. If England press forward and don’t find the net, the hosts could pick them off on the counter. Still, with a number of international players picking up injuries in recent days, we could see more of a restrained battle.
