Belgium v Italy odds: Kevin De Bruyne doubts lead to market support for Italians ahead of Euro 2020 showdown

The potential absence of Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard from Belgium’s starting 11 against Italy on Friday has already had severe market repercussions.

Belgium are the number one ranked team in world football but, with major doubts about the participation of two of their star players, punters are out to get Roberto Martinez’s side beaten in Munich.

Grosvenor Sport make Italy 27/20 favourites to reach the last four, while Belgium are 12/5 outsiders. The draw is 21/10.

De Bruyne was substituted during the second half of Belgium’s 1-0 over Portugal after suffering an ankle injury, while captain Hazard trudged off with what looked like a hamstring problem.

TV footage later showed the double PFA Player of the Year nursing his ankle with a protective ice pack.

The pair have had scans and boss Martinez has said they could still play a part against Italy, but there is no chance that either will be anything like 100% fit.

Italy are 18/5 third-favourites in Euro 2020 betting while Belgium are 7/1 fourth favourites despite starting the competition slightly shorter.
