It has been dubbed the game no-one wants to play, but Belgium turned it on two classy team goals to win a bronze medal and relegate England to fourth place.
Belgium took the lead in the fourth minute through Thomas Meunier and scored again through captain Eden Hazard in the 82nd minute to take the third-place playoff.
But it wasn't all bad as English skipper Harry Kane held out to win the golden boot, finishing the World Cup with six goals.
It was Belgium's highest ever finish at a World Cup.
More to come.
