Belgian media rave over Nottingham Forest's 'fox in the box' as loanee shines

Nottingham Forest's Nuno Da Costa has given the Reds a reminder of his talent by making headlines in Belgium with his performances for Royal Excel Mouscron.

The striker was shipped out on loan to Mouscron after finding it hard to make the breakthrough at the City Ground following his switch to the Reds last January.

Da Costa made just four starts in the second half of last season which saw him fail to find the target, although he did create a goal in the 1-1 draw against Preston North End.

But since moving to Mouscron, Da Costa has enjoyed a fine run of form which has led to two goals in five games, with his latest coming in a 3-2 win over Sint-Truiden.

GARIBALDI RED: What should Nottingham Forest do to help strengthen their team in January?

Now Belgian paper Nord Eclair have spoken glowingly of Da Costa's contribution as they assessed how all of their signings have fared since joining the club.

And in what was a full page spread, Da Costa was given an 8/10 of rating for his start to the campaign having been described as a 'fox in the box', a 'clairvoyant', and how he is strong at holding the ball up.

He was taken off in the game against Sint Truden in the second half, which negatively impacted Mouscron for losing their focal point in attack underlining Da Costa's value to the attack.

Da Costa has a contract at the City Ground until 2023, but could he be a player who can flourish under Chris Hughton with Forest struggling for goals?

What do you think about Da Costa's future at the City Ground? Is there a way to get the best out him and how?
