An eight-year old Belgian boy who recently graduated from high school told journalists he was proud about it, but still undecided about his future.
Born in the coastal town and former royal resort of Ostend in 2009, Laurent Simons finished high school in less than two years instead of the usual 6 years needed and is about 10 years younger than the other students who graduated at the same time.
According to Reuters, Simons said he's now considering a career as an engineer, although he will first have to go to university.
According to Belgian broadcaster VTM, Simons has an IQ of 145, higher than the level of 130 above which one is considered “gifted.”
