Belfast Weather: Sunny spells throughout the day with a chance of rain

It is set to be a fairly bright and sunny day across Belfast although there is a chance of some rain in places.

The Met Office forecasters have given their predictions for the weather in the city on Monday, December 14, which shows a dry start to the day, with the sun making more of an appearance after midday.

The maximum temperature will be nine degrees, although it is likely to feel more like six degrees.

There will be a light breeze throughout the day that will ease later in the evening.

The sun will rise  at 8.40am and set at 3.58pm.

The Met Office said: "It will be a drier and brighter day with sunny spells and just a few light showers. A mild day with fresh south or southwesterly winds.

"Many places will be dry overnight with clear periods and just a few light showers. A colder night with brisk southerly winds."

Tomorrow is set to be a much wetter day, with the Met Office predicting in the morning, which gets heavier around midday.

It said: "A bright day with some sunshine and a few showers at first. The showers will become more frequent and heavier around the middle part of the day, dying out later."
