Belfast Weather: Sunny spells and some rain

It is set to be a fairly mixed day today with sunny spells in between showers of rain.

The Met Office forecasters have given their predictions for Saturday, March 13, saying that it will be a bright and sunny start to the day after quite a wet night, before intermitent showers of rain throughout the rest of the day.

The sun will set at 6.23pm with a maximum temperature of eight degrees throughout the day.

The Met Office said: "Some bright or sunny intervals and occasional showers, these some heavy especially in the north with snow on high ground at first. Feeling chilly in the brisk northwesterly winds."

Clear spells and showers, the showers occasionally heavy this evening then become lighter overnight and increasingly confined to the north. Cloud increasing in the northwest later. Winds easing a little. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Sunday is expected to start bright across the southeast, otherwise a cloudy morning with outbreaks of rain spreading southeast. The rain clears early in the afternoon with sunny spells and a few showers following. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

And Monday is expected to start dry but increasing cloud brings outbreaks of afternoon rain. Mainly dry and mild through Tuesday and Wednesday with some good spells of sunshine and light winds.
