Belfast weather: Mainly dry and cloudy throughout the day

It is set to be mainly dry and cloudy throughout the day with a light breeze.

The Met Office forecasters have given their predictions for the weather on Tuesday, December 1, saying there will be a few small showers in places, but it will largely be a dry day with a 10 per cent chance of rain.

In the morning there could be hill fog in areas due to low lying clouds.

The maximum temperature will be 10 degrees and the lowest six, although it will feel two or three degrees colder than it really is.

The sun will rise at 8.23am and set at 4.02pm.

The Met Office said: "It will be a cloudy day, though apart from the odd patch of drizzle it will be dry. The cloud will be low enough at times to bring hill fog.

"A cloudy, mild evening and night. Dry for much of the time but a little drizzle in places. A narrow band of rain later in night before skies clear."

Wednesday is due to see sunny spells mixed in with rainy ones, with forecasters saying that there is potential for snow later in the evening.

The Met Office said: "A bright day with a mixture of sunny intervals and showers most frequent in west. The showers turning to snow on hills, perhaps lower ground in the evening."
