Belfast weather forecast for Friday with sunny spells

The Met Office say Friday will be a bright day with sunny spells.

According to the weather forecast for April 9, a few mainly light hail, sleet or snow showers in north coastal regions are also expected.

These will develop elsewhere by the afternoon with a maximum temperature of 8 C.

Later on in the evening, wintry showers will continue to affect northern counties into the night with some icy patches.

The forecaster says the south will stay dry with clear spells, with a minimum temperature of -2 °C.

For Saturday, The Met Office said: "A frosty start then a sunny morning though clouds bubbling up to bring the odd light shower of hail sleet or snow. Another frosty night to follow. Maximum temperature 8 C."

Sunny spells on Sunday are predicted but it's set to turn cloudier with some showery rain later.

The forecaster added: "Monday rather cloudy with some showery rain, then brighter with sunny intervals and scattered showers on Tuesday."
