Belfast weather forecast predicts a bright weekend with chance of occasional showers

It's undeniable that last week’s bank holiday weekend weather was a much-needed mood booster and although this weekend isn’t forecasted to be just as bright, the sun will still be making an appearance.

According to the Met Office, while temperatures reached 18C throughout today, tonight will remain quite cloudy and expect a gentle breeze as we head into Saturday.

They said: “Dry for much of the night with clear periods at first in the east.

“Thicker cloud and a few light showers in west will extend eastwards later tonight. Minimum temperature 9 °C”.

The Sunrise was at 4.52am and the sun will set at 9.52pm this evening.

The outlook for Saturday is that the sun will make a reappearance for those planning to head out to a beer garden this weekend but remember your umbrella as there is a chance of developing showers.

“Some bright or sunny spells and a few showers at first. Showers will become more widespread later in the morning with the odd heavier one in the afternoon. Light winds. Maximum temperature 19C,” the Met Office continued.

As for Sunday through to Tuesday, another week of higher temperatures will make us feel like summer is finally arriving.

They said: “High pressure will maintain mostly dry, settled weather with just a few showers on Monday. Otherwise sunny spells and light winds with temperatures on the warm side.”
