Belfast weather: Forecast for week ahead shows unsettled and windy conditions

The first week of October saw mostly unsettled conditions sweep across Northern Ireland, with that being a theme set to continue in the weather forecast for the new week.

It's safe to say that Autumn is well and truly here, as the nights become darker and temperatures start to dip further.

For the week ahead, the Met Office is predicting unsettled conditions with showers and strong winds across Northern Ireland.

Here are the full details for this week's weather:

Monday

A cloudy day with some patchy rain spreading northeast in the morning, especially across the far west. Mainly dry in the afternoon although some rain at times in the west. High of 16 C, low of 15 C.

Tuesday

Heavy rain changing to cloudy by lunchtime. High of 16 C, low of 11 C.

Wednesday

Heavy rain changing to clear by early evening. High of 14 C, low of 10 C.

Thursday

Partly cloudy changing to light showers by late morning. High of 15 C, low of 11 C.

Friday

Cloudy changing to sunny intervals by late morning. High of 14 C, low of 9 C.

Saturday

Partly cloudy changing to sunny intervals by late morning. High of 14 C, low of 8 C.

Sunday

Light cloud and a gentle breeze. High of 13 C, low of 9 C.
