Belfast weather forecast for Wednesday with sunny spells and scattered showers

We are set for another day of sunny spells and scattered showers in Northern Ireland on Wednesday.

According to the weather forecast from the Met Office for May 19, showers will be occasionally heavy in the east but they aren't expected to be as widespread as on Tuesday.

There will also be some light winds with a maximum temperature of 15C.

And for tonight, the forecaster said: "Any isolated showers over eastern areas soon dying out. Some fine late sunshine then clear spells tonight."

It's set to become chilly towards the morning with heavy rain arriving after dawn, with a minimum temperature of 4C.

Thursday is set to be a cloudy day with spells of rain, heavy at times especially in South Down.

The Met Office say "fresh to strong south-easterly winds, with gales over eastern coasts and high ground" are also expected, with a maximum temperature of 12C.

And as we come into the weekend, it is set to be cloudy with patchy rain on Friday morning, then brighter with a few showers.

Sunny spells and scattered light showers are forecast for over the weekend, with rain later on Sunday.
