The Met Office say it will be dry with some brightness developing on Wednesday.

According to the weather forecast for March 3, it's a cold start with some areas having mist and fog around.

The Met Office say: "These lifting and breaking to leave a dry day with some sunny intervals, though still rather cloudy. Maximum temperature 9 C."

On Wednesday night, a few clear intervals are predicted with a touch of frost in places. It's set to otherwise be a mainly dry and cloudy night. Light northeasterly winds are predicted with a minimum temperature of 1 C.

The forecaster says Thursday will be a mainly dry and cloudy day with bright intervals.

A band of showers will spread southwards during late afternoon and evening with light easterly winds and a maximum temperature of 7 C.

As we come into the weekend, some frost is expected first on Friday, then it's set to be dry with sunny spells.

The Met Office added: "Dry for most of Saturday but some rain later. Patchy rain on Sunday."
