Belfast weather forecast for Wednesday

It's officially hump day - but don't get too excited - after some sun at the start of the week we are in for a lot of rain today - the Met Office has warned.

For Wednesday, the Met Office said it will be 'a mainly dry morning'.

But, they added: "[Wednesday will be] cloudy changing to heavy rain by lunchtime. The rain sweeps east in the afternoon, heavy at times, with strengthening southerly winds. Maximum temperature 18C."

But it will get drier and warmer towards the end of the week.

For Thursday and Friday, the Met Office said: "Outbreaks of rain on Thursday, mainly across the north and west. Turning dry and bright on Friday and through Saturday. Breezy Thursday and Friday and becoming warm."
