It's set to be a slightly weekend after days of stormy weather across Northern Ireland.

A yellow weather warning for ice was in place until 9am on Saturday, February 19, with a separate warning for wind in certain parts of the country coming into force on Sunday.

According to the weather forecast for Saturday, it's set to be mainly dry in the morning with some brightness, but it will be a chilly start.

The Met Office added: "Dry, bright start then cloudy during morning with outbreaks of mostly light rain, sleet and snow on higher ground. Drier, brighter weather will return in the afternoon then heavier rain arriving during evening. Maximum temperature 7C."

And for the outlook for Sunday, the forecaster said: "Cloudy, mild with rain becoming heavy for a time during morning. Colder, brighter weather following in afternoon with blustery showers, turning wintry on higher ground, Windy with severe gales later. Maximum temperature 10C."
