Belfast weather forecast for the weekend

The Met Office says Friday is set to be a dry and bright day with some sunny spells.

According to the weather forecast for April 16, it may become rather warm inland during sunny spells after a chilly start.

It may be slightly cooler around the Co Down coast on Friday due to onshore winds.

The maximum temperature will be 14C.

The forecaster added: "Some early evening sunshine in the east, but cloud soon increases from the west to give a dry but cloudy night. Minimum temperature 2C."

And as the weekend begins, Saturday is predicted to be a dry day.

It may be rather cloudy at times, but some good spells of sunshine are expected too, particularly coming into the afternoon. The maximum temperature will again be around 14C.

The Met Office has then predicted a cloudier few days. Outbreaks of rain are expected on Sunday and Monday.

The rain should then clear on Tuesday to bring drier and brighter conditions.
