Belfast weather forecast for the day ahead

The Met Office have said it will be a largely cloudy day in Belfast today with some brightness at times.

But according to the weather forecast for Tuesday, March 23, rain is expected to spread from the west later this afternoon.

The forecaster predicts it will be: "Mainly dry and often rather cloudy, some brightness breaking through at times across the north and east. Rain will spread from west later in the afternoon."

They also said it will be "breezy this afternoon".

Throughout Monday night they believe the clouds and rain will disperse, providing clear periods "and the odd light shower" but that many places will be dry. It is also predicted that it will be rather cold.

The maximum temperature for Monday is 12 °C with a low of 3 °C.

Sunrise was at 6.20am and it will set again at 6.42pm - giving us four more minutes of day light than yesterday.

As for Wednesday, they predict: "Sunny intervals and occasional showers, perhaps clouding over with some rain later in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 10 °C."
