Belfast weather forecast for Tuesday looking good as sun expected to make an appearance

Despite a wet and windy start to the week, things are looking up for Belfast where the weather is concerned today.

The Met Office forecast for the city shows that while a patter of rain is expected in the morning - it will be all sunshine, and we hope, lollipops, by 10am.

We know that on any given day, wise NI folks pack their shades and brolly, but the forecast predicts you can dump the latter today with the sun expected to shine until 4pm.

Temperatures on the other hand are predicted to dip slightly, with a high on Tuesday of around 9 degrees.

The sun will be up at 7.31am and go down again at 4.42pm.

Here's what the Met Office says about NI:

Sunshine and showers, mainly dry in the east on Tuesday.

A cloudy start then brightening up with some sunny, spells though there will still be a few showers mainly across the north and west. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
