Belfast weather forecast for Monday is cloudy with patchy rain

It will be a cloudy day over Belfast on Monday with forecasters predicting patchy rain at times.

The Met Office says it will be a rather cloudy day with rain in the morning that should clear up until around 8pm when there is a chance of another downpour.

The maximum temperature will be 14 degrees and the lowest will be seven and there is a chance of some sunny spells emerging in the North and West of the country.

A Met Office spokesperson said: "A rather cloudy day with a little rain at times, more especially across eastern parts. There will be a few brighter spells especially across the north and west. Mainly light southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

"Continuing mostly cloudy overnight with a few spots of rain around. There will be some clearer spells especially towards the north coast. Light winds. Minimum temperature 7 °C."

Outlook for Tuesday:

A rather cloudy morning but becoming brighter from the west with some sunny spells developing for the afternoon. Becoming cloudier again later with evening rain. Freshening southerly winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Cloudy and windy Wednesday with occasionally heavy rain clearing in afternoon. Dry with sunny spells Thursday and strengthening winds. Heavy overnight rain clearing to sunny spells and blustery showers Friday.
