Belfast weather forecast for Friday with light rain and cool winds

The dull weather continues as the summer weather is still nowhere to be seen - forecasters predict an overcast day with showers turning lighter into the morning.

According to Met Office, bring a coat if you are heading out as the rain persists throughout the day with cool winds bringing a chill to the air.

The weather forecaster also said: "It will be cloudy during the morning with outbreaks of rain, soon turning showery".

"Some drier spells in the afternoon with skies brightening at times. It will feel cool or rather cold in the fresh to strong northerly winds," they added.

Moving into the evening, the harsh weather is expected to ease.

As for Tuesday night, Met Office said: "The cloud beginning to thin and break with most of the showers dying out, although a few developing in the north and west later. Chilly with winds slowly easing."

The maximum temperature for Tuesday is 11°C and we are expected to have experience lows of 6°C. Sunrise was at 5.09 am and will set again at 9.32 pm.

Looking to the weekend, the sun is predicted to make a breakthrough between showers.

"A bright day with occasional sunny spells and a scattering of showers. Still feeling cool in the moderate to fresh northwest winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C," Met Office explained.
