Belfast weather forecast for Friday as pubs, restaurants and retail reopen

It's the day so many have been waiting for, when you can finally meet up with a friend or family member and enjoy a drink or bite to eat outdoors in a cafe, bar or restaurant.

Or if you fancy you can also head to your nearest high street and hit the shops as retail also reopen their doors from today.

But with lots of activities mainly outdoors, what is the all important weather forecast?

According to the latest from the Met Office, today we can expect some bright or sunny spells with the chance of the odd shower, some places staying dry. Still feeling rather chilly. Light north or northeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

If you're meeting friends later this evening for a drink outdoors then don't forget your big coat. After some sunshine this evening the rest of the night will be dry but cold, with some patchy frost. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

As for the rest of the weekend it looks pretty good, After a dry start on Saturday cloud will bubble up in the morning to give a few scattered showers, but these should die out in the evening. Some places staying dry. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Sunny periods and the odd shower on Sunday before widespread rain returns on Monday, so make the most of your outdoor activities this weekend.
