Belfast weather forecast for Easter weekend with sun and snow

We are set for some dry and sunny weather over Easter in Northern Ireland but with potential snow early next week.

According to the Met Office weather forecast for the weekend ahead, it will be bright over Easter.

All parts will have a dry day on Friday with some good spells of sunshine.

The forecaster said: "Feeling pleasantly mild in the sunshine, but somewhat colder along the north coast in the northerly breeze. Maximum temperature 14 C."

It's set to be dry with some late sunshine this evening, staying dry and clear for the rest of the night but with a widespread frost. Some freezing fog patches are set to develop later with a minimum temperature of -2 C.

For Saturday, "overnight fog and low cloud dispersing in the morning to leave a dry day with some spells of sunshine" with a maximum temperature of 14 °C.

Then it will stay dry for most of Sunday but rain will spread in the southeast later in the day.

It will be cold and bright on bank holiday Monday and Tuesday with snow and hail showers developing, according to the Met Office.
