Belfast weather forecast for bank holiday weekend predicts sun and highs of 22C

Nothing quite beats a dose of good weather on a bank holiday weekend.

Luckily, it looks like we have some on the way.

"Dry, bright and warm" weather is forecast in Belfast on Friday, August 27. Met Office also anticipates highs of 20C to kickstart the weekend.

It looks like Saturday, August 28, will by far be the best day weather-wise, with pure sun and 22C heat predicted to hit the city.

And you'll want to make the most of it, because come Sunday, August 29, temperatures will begin to drop, with cloud and highs of just 19C in Belfast.

We should see cloud change to sunny intervals by late on Monday morning, August 30, but temperatures will peak at just 17C.

In Belfast, we should count ourselves lucky, as the picture isn't looking quite as great across the whole of Northern Ireland.

Overnight mist will soon give way to dry, sunny spells across NI on Friday.

Saturday is likely to be a mostly cloudy day, with the best of any sunshine in the South, and maximum temperatures of 23C.

Cloud will be thicker towards the North Coast, where there will potentially be some mist or fog at times.

From Sunday onwards, largely dry weather is forecast across Northern Ireland.

"It is likely to be rather cloudy at times, but some bright or sunny spells also possible," Met Office added.
