The forecaster said: "A little brightness possible towards Newry later. Windy along the Antrim coast." There will be a maximum temperature of 6 C."

Tonight is set to be a mainly cloudy night with further outbreaks of rain, which will be heavy at times.

There's set to be "brisk easterly winds, strong along the coasts" with a minimum temperature of 3 C.

Thursday will be a cold and cloudy day with outbreaks of rain, most persistent in the north.

The Met Office added: "Best of the dry weather across Fermanagh. Fresh northeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 4 C."

As we come into the weekend, outbreaks of rain, sleet and possibly snow on Friday has been predicted by the forecaster.

Wintry showers are expected on Saturday and Sunday and it will also be feeling quite cold with some strong northeasterly winds.
