Belfast weather forecast for a sunnier weekend ahead

The Met Office say it will be dry with some sunshine on Friday.

According to the weather forecast for February 26, any fog patches will clear, leaving some good spells of sunshine, especially in the morning.

The forecaster says some cloud will come bubbling up in the afternoon. It's set to be a bit milder again, "with a moderate south to southwesterly breeze". It will be a maximum temperature of 11 C.

On Friday evening, cloud will be breaking to allow some clear spells.

The Met Office said: "Cloud and occasional rain will then cross from the west overnight, with the northwest clearing again by morning. Minimum temperature 6 C."

On Saturday, it's predicted to be a cloudy start with perhaps a little rain in east, but sunnier skies in the northwest "will develop more widely by the afternoon". The maximum temperature will be 11 C.

The forecaster says it will be a fine settled spell of weather into the start of next week with good spells of sunshine. There may be some early fog patches and low cloud.
