Belfast weather forecast for a drier and brighter Wednesday

The Met Office say it should be drier and brighter on Wednesday, but there will still be some rain.

According to the weather forecast for February 24, it's set to be a cloudy start "with perhaps some rain in east".

It's predicted to be mostly dry and bright with some sunny spells developing, especially in north and west with a few showers.

The forecaster added: "Becoming cloudier in afternoon with outbreaks of rain developing, but southwest winds easing. Maximum temperature 13 C."

Later on, it will be cloudy with rain at first but becoming dry through the evening with long clear spells developing.

The Met Office say it will be cloudier later in the night with a few showers in the northwest and southwest, with winds freshening again. There will be a minimum temperature of 6 C.

On Thursday, we are set for bright or sunny spells, but a few showers mostly in the northwest and over high ground.

The forecaster added: "Fresh southwest winds at first but turning westerly and easing. Still mild. Maximum temperature 11 C."

It'll be generally dry and bright with some sunshine on Friday, becoming cloudier at night and at first on Saturday.
