Belfast weather: Forecast as warmer temperatures and sunshine expected this week

It looks like we have a promising week ahead when it comes to the weather in Northern Ireland.

A few weeks after sunny conditions here, it looks like we could see a return to more settled weather this week throughout the country.

For most of the week, the Met Office is predicting a "dry and increasingly bright then a sunny few days with temperatures trending up."

The weather forecaster added that it will feel "very warm" in any sunshine, with "feels like" temperatures reaching the mid-20s later this week.

Here's what we can expect from the weather this week in Northern Ireland :

Monday

Sunny changing to cloudy by nighttime. Highs of 21 C, lows of 15 C.

Tuesday

Cloudy changing to sunny intervals by lunchtime. Highs of 23 C, lows of 12 C.

Wednesday

Sunny. Highs of 25 C, lows of 12 C.

Thursday

Sunny. Highs of 24 C, lows of 13 C.

Friday

Sunny. Highs of 25 C, lows of 14 C.

Saturday

Sunny. Highs of 23 C, lows of 15 C.

Sunday

Sunny. Highs of 22 C, lows of 15 C.
