Belfast weather for Tuesday predicts sunny start before evening downpours

It will be a bright and sunny morning across Belfast today before a cloudier evening with late downpours.

The Met Office forecasters have given their predictions for Tuesday, June 15, saying that it will be a mostly dry day with spells of sunshine, before cloud forms in the afternoon leading to rain around 8pm which could get heavy in places.

It will be warm throughout the day with temperatures in the late teens reaching highs of 20 degrees.

The sun rose at 4.47am and will set at 10.02pm.

The Met Office said: "Dry with some spells of hazy sunshine this morning. Clouding over this afternoon with some rain spreading to western counties later, east staying mainly dry. Strengthening south to southeasterly wind along the east coast. Rather warm.

"(Tonight) Rain, locally heavy in places, gradually moving east this evening. Drier and clearer weather will spread to all parts by the end of the night. Minimum temperature 9 °C."

Wednesday, June 16, is set to be a similar day to Tuesday, with a mainly dry day and sunny day that could lead to showers in the afternoon.

The Met Office said: "Mainly dry with some bright or sunny spells, chance of an afternoon shower. Light winds."
