Belfast weather: Dry, sunny and warm all weekend

There will be plenty of opportunity for people to get out and about this weekend with lots of sunshine and nice weather.

The Met Office forecasters have given their prediction for Saturday, April 24, and Sunday, April 25, saying that there will be sunny spells for the majority of the weekend.

Saturday is predicted to have long periods of sun with very little cloud cover and maximum temperatures of 17 degrees and light winds. Although despite the warm weather during the day there is a chance of frost in the morning.

The Met Office said: "Perhaps an early frost. Then dry with cloud breaking up to leave a mostly sunny day. Warm in the west but cooler in the east with a moderate southeasterly breeze. Maximum temperature 17 °C."

Sunday will see the good weather continue with long sunny spells and maximum temperatures of 14 degrees.

The Met Office said: "Mainly dry and bright with still some warm spells of sunshine on Sunday. Cloudier on Monday and Tuesday with chance of showers and cooler. Fresher northeast winds on Tuesday."
