Belfast weather: Cold with snowy showers in places

It is set to be another cold day across Belfast with a chance of snowy showers in places as a yellow weather warning is in place.

The Met Office forecasters have given their predictions for Tuesday, February 9, where a weather warning for snow and ice is in place due to low temperatures and the possibility of snow.

It will be dry for the majority of the day, however there is a chance of snowy showers after midday.

The maximum temperature will be three degrees and the lowest minus four, and it is likely to feel two or three degrees colder than it really is.

The sun will rise at 7.59am and set at 5.18pm.

The Met Office said: "There will be scattered snow showers in the east during the day but generally drier and brighter in the west. Feeling cold but with easing easterly winds.

"(Tonight) The snow showers will mostly die off through this evening, leaving largely clear skies overnight. Widespread overnight frost across the country."

Tomorrow is set to be another cold but dry day with a maximum temperature of around one degrees.

The Met Office said: "It will stay largely dry and sunny throughout the day tomorrow but feeling very cold."
